Welcome to my Speaking Page!
Hopefully, this will give you everything you need to decide if I would be an encouragement to your church, conference or Christian organization. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or requests for more information.
My style is straightforward and down to earth. I use an abundance of Scripture references so that my preaching and teaching are firmly based on the Word of God. I’m passionate about seeing a move of God sweep America in my lifetime!
Along with the Word, in much of my teaching, I use PowerPoint presentations as well as handouts to reinforce what was taught. I believe that the Holy Spirit works best when our attention is focused on Him.
As far as offerings are concerned, I only ask that my travel expenses are covered and a free-will offering be given to me. Please realize that my living expenses are paid through the teaching of the Word. That being said, my faith is in Christ, not people, to supply my needs. He has never let me down, and I know that He never will.
The Lord has trained me to teach from an early age. When I was in Junior High School, my Sunday School teacher – Brother Jerry – made all of his students take turns teaching the weekly lessons. It was then that I first saw that God blessed me with a teaching gift.
Over the following years, I’ve taught every age group (including the nursery!). I’ve been a Senior Pastor of a local church since 1987. During that time I’ve been asked to guest teach at ministry schools in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, and Florida. I’ve also participated in training sessions for pastors in Cameroon, West Africa.
I’m a husband to a godly woman. I have three lovely daughters, one of whom is married. My entire family is dedicated to and active in the ministry.
I enjoy hiking as a way to refocus, meditate on the Word, and pray apart from the distractions of the city. I also like to travel, read, and do some geocaching.
The following topics are what most of my teaching revolves around. I’m equipped to minister on these subjects in single sermons, weekend retreats, or week-long venues.
The Move of God: This includes where the church has come from, as well as where God is leading us to, and what we need to do to prepare ourselves for God’s next great move.
How to Develop a Spirit of Excellence: This is a must for anyone who wants to be used by God. I deal with four internal issues – vision, calling, perseverance and love. Then I talk about four external disciplines – fasting, prayer, meditation on the Word, and private, solitary time with the Lord.
Healing: To this point God has not used me in what is commonly referred to as a “Healing Ministry”. However, the Lord has equipped me to encourage and train up healing ministries in the local church.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Tongues): I teach not only what this gift is, but why it’s so important to the everyday life of the believer. Much of the controversy surrounding this gift is the lack of understanding about its purpose. I deal with both the private and corporate use of the gift.
A Hiker Looks at the Christian Walk: I’m a section-hiker on the Appalachian Trail. I use this time to spend days alone in the woods to pray and meditate on the Word of God. Through these times I have learned many hiking lessons that illustrate our walk with God. These are good messages for Christian hiking and outdoor groups.
Leadership and Teacher Training: Having been a Senior Pastor and teacher since 1987, I have learned many lessons along the way. I’m able to pass these insights along to help leaders and teachers to advance in their ministries.
Youth Meetings and Christian Schools: My first ministry was to the youth. I continue to enjoy working with teens and young adults. Through the use of dynamic object lessons, I have continued to see a great response from this group.
The Soon Return of the Lord Jesus Christ: I believe that we are the final generation before the return of Christ. I also believe that there will be an end-time harvest of souls before He returns. Warning! – My unique, Biblical perspective is unlike what is taught in most of the modern church.
